"Tired of drinkin' whiskey by myself,
Girls don't even notice, boys just want to fight,
Tired of drinkin' whiskey by myself"

When you get tired of drinkin' whiskey, it's time to invite some more friends.

Yes, I am not unfamiliar with this song.
And, I misquoted ...
"Go down to the barroom every nite,
Go down to the barroom every nite,
Girls don't even notice, boys just want to fight,
Go down to the barroom every nite

Very traditional 12 bar blues in a country format.

Anyway, glad to see that no one else has ever struggled with psychological pain and despair ... kudos.

I would think most have at one point or another. I have. Not everyone is comfortable talking about it.

Hang in there Sir. "This too shall pass. "

Thanks man, I wish that you were right.
O well, at least I have some PRS gitars ... like twelve of them.
Need to thin the herd.

I don't claim to know your struggle, and I do wish you the best. I have friends who fight your fight. I would think that the alcohol isn't helping you.

From what I have read, alcohol is a depressant and makes things worse. I have seen some of the antidepressants do wonders - definitely worth seeing your doc to get a scrip for.

I thought I was crazy once but it was all in my head. (rimshot)
But seriously, try to think of things to be thankful for and you'll feel better.

I'l almost echo what Les said, with a bit of modification - if you're really having a problem, reach out and get help. Some antidepressants do work wonderfully - but some people have to go through a couple to find the one that works for them.

But you don't have to fight through it yourself.

Hi;

Thanks to everyone;
You're right, alcohol is a depressant and makes me stupid. Kinda like now. But I only do it six times a month, which will go down to four times in the very near future.
Done all the antidepressants, don't seem to work on me, but I gotta stop listenin' to country music, always screws me up.
But anyone who likes the music I do has to have some issues.
This was me, twenty years ago.

On the bright side I can play pretty well. Love PRS guitars. Our band disbanded in Feb. We played a lot and actually got paid.
Been a bit of a tough year and I'm floundering, to much time on my hands.
Me and the other guitarist are going to form another band, hopefully we get some work ... we do have a good reputation.

Thanks for not beating me into the crapper.
I've always felt this forum is a kinder, gentler place, a little bit of a safe haven where a person can vent a little.
But, no more of this, pretty pathetic.
Thanks again.
