A funny story about when I met Paul

Back in 2007, Paul did an "Evening With" session at Wild Wire Guitars in Selby, UK.
It was a packed event and a really good vibe was going on.

During the session, Paul opened up for questions, so I asked him this...

"So, we all know how you love attention to detail... so why is it you have never noticed that your pickup covers have the engraving upside down on the neck pickup? If you look at it, the model of the pickup is engraved in the bottom right of the pickup cover - but you do it the same for the bridge and neck, so when the pickup builder puts the cover on and installs it into the guitar, it is now upside down."

Paul was shocked that I was the first person to ever tell him that. I think he thought I was a bit crazy... but my OCD means I could never buy one as that would bug me! (No joke)

He laughed and said if I ordered a PRS from him, he will personally engrave it to make sure it is the correct way.

Unfortunately, I don't have the sums of money needed for them to make me a custom one ;)

Very nice!

When I met him a month or so ago, when he was getting ready to sign my CU24, I said (jokingly, well I can come across dry lol), "I'm not sure I can trust you touching my guitar." Man, if looks could kill I'd been dead on the spot. I told him I was joking and that I loved that guitar - the air got a little better then. :D

You’re lucky he didn’t make you catch it!;)

And here's the PRS book he signed... even said happy birthday to my wife (she was dragged to it on her birthday lol)

OMG, that would have freaked me out! I've seen him do that with Emil Werstler, at least I think it was him.
I was his victim at Righteous Guitars in 2016 - Paul threw a red 594 at me - I caught it! (there was definitely some pucker factor involved when he threw it!).
I ended up buying a 594 a couple of months later.

I'll never forget him pretending to drop that woman's Dragon 2000 at the 2017 clinic. :D
