First Id like to say hello to everyone! Ive finally been able to get my hands on a SE (I have a Jackson Soloist SL2H and a LTD EX400) but I just love the overall feel of my SE Custom 24. Anyways I picked up the Trampas Green SE Custom 24 for $700 on a wicked sale.
At the same store now the tobacco sunburst jsut went on sale for $880
I was thinking that the green I have now is a 2016 model and the Sunburst is a 2017 model based on the pickups but it doesnt look like it has the 2017 headstock. What is the actual years/difference of these? Is there any difference in build or material quality? I was thinking if it would be worth bringing in the green back in (only had it a week) and getting the sunburst (although it looks like its sold out in all the stores in my province). I was planning on swapping the tuners for grovers and swapping the pickups for a 59 and a JB anyways. What are your thoughts?
Also for the tuners I cant hunt down any grover 406s but I have found some 205s, is the only difference between them the gear ratio? Preferably I dont want to have to drill out for new tuners.
