A couple ?'s about Hollowbody setup and piezo

Hey everybody,

So I've had my HB for about six months now. And I'm still absolutely in love with it. What a fantastic instrument. It just sounds so right, so full with harmonics. I'll start with the easier question:

A) What gets the battery to turn on for the piezo? Is it powered just by the guitar being plugged in? (Which is what I suspect). Or is the circuit complicated enough that piezo is only powered when the mini toggle is in the mix or piezo position?

B) This question doesn't pertain to just my HB, but now my other two Custom 22's. I love extremely low action, way lower than anyone elses personal guitar I've ever tried. The stoptails on all three guitars are completely down to the top, as far as they will go. I use the truss rod to get the action I like. Is there a general rule that says thats a no-no? Am I risking damage to the frets or neck by having the bridge like that? I'm just curious if anyone else is doing that, or for someone to say "Your better off with the bridge somewhat off the body, and then adjust the truss rod to taste.

One reason I feel I maybe shouldn't be doing that, is it seems I've been having nut bindiing a little more than usual, almost always on the G's. It seems like the way I setup my guitars, the strings are coming off the front of the nut at a different angle and the nut wasn't filed for such an angle at the factory. I know that's a fairly easy fix.

I hope I'm making sense here, writing has never been a strong suit of mine!
Thanks for any opinions!

Chris

6 months and I'm still in love with your Hollowbody too! :dancing:

Haha Thanks Serg. Flattering words coming from someone like yourself. I still have to pinch myself once in a while and wonder how I got so lucky to end up with her.

Leaving your guitar plugged in will drain the battery so I suppose it's activated when plugged in.
