I've had superb results using rechargeable batteries in my two Line 6 wireless transmitters. I highly recommend Eneloops!
Now my use of 9v batteries is increasing with my home made amp pedal hack with leds, the LR Baggs DI, and the piezo in the P22.
Unfortunately Eneloop 9v don't seem to be available, so what about something like these?

These run at 8.4v in reality. Anybody have any experience with 9v rechargeables in guitar gear?

I've always heard they don't last as long. I only use one in my wireless and never bothered testing. Maybe I should sometime.

Hmm I've always had bad experiences with rechargeables in my Line 6, basically the battery indicator doesn't work, it says it's full then all of a sudden it's flat, does the battery level indicator work for you?

I used to use rechargeable 9V in my pedals with no issues, I was pretty anal about charging them before every gig though.

I was worried about that as well with the AA rechargeables for the Line 6 transmitters too, but I'm glad to say they work just as well.

Yes, I use Eneloop 2500mah AA rechargeables and they seem to perform just as well as alkaline. I swap them out as soon as I see the indicator less than 6 bars.

I'm starting to read good reviews on EBL 600mah 9v rechargeables. I think I'm going to go for it.

They are slightly larger in width I believe so they won't fit everything. The cavity in the P22 is large, and most all pedals have lots of room. Not too sure about the LR Baggs DI though...
