I noticed that there were a few threads on here regarding replacing the phase i tuners (wing tuners) on older instruments. I can't afford to have PRS tool the phase ii tuners for 300.00. The Schaller M6 tuners were suggested, however I noticed that there were numerous M6 tuners on the Schaller website. Will the Schaller M6 LOCKING tuners still retro fit into my CE without having to alter or drill the headstock? If not, any other tuner options out there for folks in my predicament?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The m6 holes will not line up with the ones left by wing tuners. Especially if ur g/d share a screw

I bit the bullet on two of mine and drilled holes for the phase IIs. I like the phase IIs and both of these guitars were older with some wear so it didn't bother me too much but I wouldn't do it to something that was pristine. FWIW phase IIs will be brass posts and that is supposed to make a difference however I'm not sure I could tell on mine.

Both of mine had D/G shared screw
