Hey all! I've got an opportunity to pick up another piece of gear that I've been after and need to let one from my collection go. The problem is, I'm not too sure of the asking price for this rare "bird". The, soon to be regretful but still not 100% certain, decision is a 1995 PRS CE 22 with bird inlays, gold hardware and Artist pickups! See pics below to get a good feel for it. It does have some dings and has been played in its former life but nothing too outlandish. My problem is, I'm not too sure what to ask for it. Early model CEs with birds are hard to find, also Artist pickups and gold hardware too, but there is not a ton of listings as of recent that help find a price point. What sort of price should I be looking for on this?

I can't help with price but that's one of the cooler CE 22s I've seen...not too gaudy just a rockin bolt on PRS....id grab it if I can...is that a standard ?? I prefer standards as I have 3 USA standard 22s my favorite....

That's a beautiful guitar. I'd love to get my hands on one just like it, but I'd rather if it had the original Dragon I Pickups. I imagine that somewhere between two and two and a half stacks should get it done given that most CE 22 maple tops are anywhere from $1400 right up to the low $2000 range in solid condition. There is one listed on Reverb for $2800 with birds, but that seems high to me given that there are many listings for used Core Customs of the same vintage around the same price.

Yeah I didn't see the 2800 price...the sellers on crack....maybe 14 to 2000 even 2000 is too high...GC used sells em as low as 12 or less sometimes ...its a nice specimen but not at 28....

It depends on how long you want to wait before it sells. Most CE22s seem to sell for $1300-$1500. Maybe you could ask $1600-$1700 since you've got birds. You may get lucky or you may be waiting a while at $1700.

$75. Please let me know where to send the cash, check or Venmo. OK, obviously kidding. She's a beauty. Given local San Francisco Bay Area CL, I'd say @TFC is pretty close. A nice CE with a Floyd has been listed at $1750 for a couple months. A nice cherry CE at $1400 sitting for about the same time. Both are in very good to excellent condition. That said, PRS' don't seem to move on CL or FBMP unless they are a pretty good bargain.

Appreciate all your feedback! After hearing some thoughts I am thinking around $1850 mark, gives me a little wiggle room too. It's one of those things, if it sells, great! If not, great! I am more than happy to keep it ha.
