First off that was awesome. While I mostly play guitar these days, and it was my first instrument, percussion is what I'm actually trained to play. So her grip is killing me inside. But her smile and enjoyment she is obviously getting from playing make up for it.

And not to say she isn't killing it and a hitter, I'm betting the kick is close mic'd. Bohnam was always mic'd with 3 distant mics. In fact in an Eagles documentary I learned they didn't get along with Glyn Johns because he wouldn't close mic the kick. Anyway she is definitely on the right path.
