6.8lb Limited Edition Custom 22 from 2007. Is that even possible?

Seller says the guitar weighs in at 6.8lb. That’s the lightest I’ve ever heard of. Anyone seen a Custom 22 from that time frame that light?

My 2018 Custom 22 is exactly 6.8 lbs.; so this is probably quite a likely possibility for a 2007 model as well (there really haven't been any significant changes that would/could affect weight).

If you haven't already played one, keep in mind that the Custom 22 & 24 guitars are slightly thinner bodies than the popular McCarty models and/or even-thicker 594 models of today. This might account for what seems to be a comparatively lightweight Custom 22 compared to today's 594 models.

I have a CU24 (mahogany back, curly maple neck) that is that same weight despite those crazy heavy extra 2 frets ;-)

    I had a Cu22 that was so light I suspected it's chambered.
