I agree, that is too long. It sounds like they need to open up overtime and weekends. What color did you get?

The S2s are probably not being pushed out any quicker than the cores, but my S2 McCarty 594 single cut was ordered in January, 2021 and took just over a year. Ordered through a dealer that sells lots of PRS stuff, but given my experience I don't think their dealers get things faster than anyone else. I doubt PRS will ever try to speed the process at the risk of compromising quality.

Sorry, and I mean no offense by this to anyone, but I’m NOT waiting that long for ANYTHING!. when I see people waiting on a list for 3 or 4 years for a certain pedal, I just find it insane. but back to the OP, this is just complete horse$hit, and the reason the used prices on PRS’s have gone way beyond absurdity In the last couple years!!!
