If you put these pickups in an S2 Singlecut would there be much tonal difference between the S2 and a core Singlecut ?

I have some experience but not directly an answer.... I put them in my S2 SC satin, kept same stock wiring pots etc of the S2 which came with import #7s
They suit that guitar much more imo and PRS should offer them as stock, likely dont because of the higher pricing of CEs?
If your S2 has a maple cap then it would probably sound more like a core with 85/15 sets I would say, plus my S2 has bigger route and pickguard so it has some of that airy strat-ness
