I've had some folks ask about specs on the 58/15 and 85/15 pickups. Here is a screen shot of training guide we're working on. Once the guide has been completed it will be distributed to sales folks all over the world, but here is a sneak peak at some pickup info.

You might want to take that down and repost with a big "DRAFT" warning or similar watermark. I'm sure you guys are still working on it, but the resistance figures on the LT are incorrect.

Wonderful!

I wonder if you would expand this to include eg the 57/08s, the narrow 408 treble pickup etc?

I'm sure all of the pups in the PRS lineup will be described. You can already see some of that info if you click the links on the guitar product page where the pickup types are listed - many models have active links. e.g.:

Click on "Santana" beside "Bass Pickup":

you can even see the Santana Treble even though nothing links to it on the website and the retro has a 58/15 in the treble, just replace 'bass' with 'treble':

Finally a glimpse of what the 85/15 looks like in chart form. I still contend that it's too glassy. The clarity claim is true and it's enjoyable to play, but I do like some dirt on it at times and just stuck HFS/VB into the SE which sounds great.

That's a funny looking Santana in your avatar!

Yeah well, the cat was really sucking up to me today and I took some pictures to embarrass him when he starts to be a jerk again. Next time he smacks me with a paw, the Santana is going right back up!

My 2 cents..

"Alnico" is not terribly helpful, IMO as a descriptor in this day and age. Especially if people are buying pickups aftermarket. Some of these pickups of course are not for sale aftermarket, but I don't see why, for example, 59/09s do not have specifics for the magnet type listed. A4, A2, A5, etc.

Agreed. Same with resistance. Doesn't help a whole lot unless you add qualifying information.

Indeed.

I had a much more thorough post typed up talking about other things like dcr and various pickup details, but deleted most of it. I figured some people might take it as being too critical, though it was not my intention. intarwebz, ya know? :)
