I have a buddy who's swapping out his 57/08s and he said I could buy em. What's a fair ($) offer?

They seem to go for around $450-$500 a set on eBay in the US - a little more in the UK.

I believe that's what I paid for my set as well. Worth every penny!

There'll be a ceiling I'm sure as more and more used guitars show up with them...

As someone who has been watching the use prices on some of the forums I'd agree that the 350-400 range is pretty typical. No way yours should pay more. PTC will install a brand new set for $475.
