57/08 Pickups/ S2 Standard 22

Any feedback on how you guys think the 57/08’s will work in my S2 Standard 22? The pickups are $210 each now and I’m a little worried I will not like them.

I've owned a Standard 22 and I'm sure that 57/08's would sound good. Are you looking for conformation or less expensive alternatives?

Confirmation really. I just want to make sure I’m spending my money wisely.

My Stanard 22, came with a 5-way rotary switch. I converted it to a 3-way, without a splitting Tone control. That would have involved another change.

The 57/08's are one of the most coveted PRS pickups. They should sound great.

^ I agree with chicagoslim. The 57/08 are fantastic pickups. Though, I suppose if you're looking for "overwound" or high-gain type pickups, these aren't what you want. However, in the moderate/vintage output category, the 57/08's are some of the best pickups, period--not just within PRS offerings but across the board from anybody.

Another vote for the 57/08 here. Absolutely love 'em. Only other thing I'd consider is the 59/09 in the bridge and 57/08 in the neck. Either way you'll be very happy.
