So, I bought a new to me 513. This is my second one, first one is a swamp Ash body, this one is a mahogany 10 top, my question is, with the " correct" PRS spec setup, why do the 10 gauge string set sound floppy, borderline buzzy, but besides tightened the springs, 12s sound fuckin amazing! Any input would be great, Thanx!

If all you did when you went from 10's to 12's is tighten the trem springs, the neck would have added relief (i.e. more of a curve to the neck). This raises the action slightly and gives the strings a little more room to vibrate.

If a set of 10's is buzzy, backing off the truss rod a little (counter-clockwise, 1/4 turn at a time) will also add relief and you might like the setup better.
