509 or 594 HBII?

I voted 594.

My reasoning is simple. How could you possibly look at that guitar, be in a position to buy that guitar, and NOT buy that guitar. It just wouldn't make sense.

I have to recommend the 594! I have not played a 509, but my body prefers the 5.x pounds of the 594 HBII to the 7.x pounds of my CU24s. As for tones, I can get what I need for my current repertoire from that model!! YMMV. Best of luck with your decision and congrats on whichever one you choose!!!

I'd go with the 594 HB, because I'd like a hollowbody and the 594 is a great platform. This may not apply to anyone else.

For me this would be an easy choice. I like shorter scale lengths, I like Hollowbodies, and I like the color much more.

I mean, if I had the money, that particular HB594 might well be my dream guitar.

YMMV of course.
