Hi All,

Wondering if someone might be able to help me out. I have a PRS Custom 24 2009.

I had the pickups replaced in it with Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and the guy that did it struggled to get the wiring correct.. what I didn't know at the time is because of what I have discovered recently is my Guitar has a 5 Way Rotary and a Push/Pull on the Volume and Tone Knobs.

The only problem is that I cannot find the original wiring diagram on the PRS website.. nor can I find any information on what the Push/Pulls did in Combination with the 5 Way Rotary.
This is the only wiring Diagram that PRS have on their website: https://d159anurvk4929.cloudfront.net/documents/prs_custom5wayrotary_pre_2007.pdf

Although its got the same Rotary switch in the Diagram it doesn't facilitate the Push/Pull wiring.

Does anyone know what the setup would have been - in terms of what the Rotary options would have been with the Push/Pulls Engaged/Disengaged?

Does anyone know where I could find a wiring diagram for this?

Thanks

I'm wondering about this, too. I have a CE24 with a rotary and a push-pull tone knob that's not wired in line. It's just bypassed. The guitar has a maple top and is really too bright for me. I was hoping I could find a diagram to wire up the tone knob and mayber that would take a little edge off the guitar's tone. It's the only one I have with a maple top and I like it ,otherwise.

Your guitar most likely had 3 way toggle which would have had pp tone pot.

It is bypassed because prs doesn't use pp pots with rotary switch.

Also, one pickup needs to have magnet flipped so it is out of phase when using rotary switch. Not a big deal to do but something to remember.

To my knowledge prs never used push pull pots with rotary switch
My custom has... It's got a 5 Way Rotary and Push Pulls on both the Volume and Tone. Although I can't track anything down with any wiring diagrams.

My PRS has all the original wiring apart from the new Pickups that were installed.. nothing was altered so this is how it came from the Factory and its all original Hardware.

I completely believe that your guitar is currently set up this way.

I have never seen a prs with rotary switch plus PP pots on both. If it came from the factory this way then it would be the first and only one I've ever heard of.

If you bought it new then you would know for sure that it came from the factory this way.

To be clear....I am prepared to be wrong here, if this is a factory setup then I'm interested to know the history of this guitar.

Keep us posted
