5 way pickup knob

I have an old Custom 24 that I love but I do not like the 5 way rotary knob. Pro's and cons of switching out to a switch? I understand I'll only have 3 positions, 1, 3 and 5 which is fine with me. Is that accurate? Any downside to doing this? thx

You could always add a push pull tone pot so you still get the split ability

There's also the 'Freeway Switch' which lets you do a bunch of cool stuff in the space of a toggle. I haven't used or touched one, so I can't comment on how they feel.
