Looking at both of these at the moment for my first PRS. While i don't usually go for signature guitars i'm a Navarro fan so it wouldn't put me off in this case. The only differences i can see are the color and the pickup selector switch. Any reason i haven't spotted to pick one over the other?

Mahogany neck versus maple neck on the Navarro. My 30th Anniversary SE CU24 came with a quilt maple top. Other than that, your choice. Good luck!

Tough call. I love the jet white. But the 30th has the cool anniversary birds and they've had some cool looking tops. I prefer the 3 way toggle over blade, but that's totally personal pref. If you decide to sell and upgrade later, the 30th will likely be easier to move. The Navarro will likely have a little more snap and high end with the maple neck.

I thought the 30th Anniversary Custom 24 had a maple neck.
Hmm, the limited edition does, 'cause I have one of each.

[Edit] Oops, looks like I'm wrong. I thought only the Limited Edition did, but checking it appears they both do. I added the Ltd for its ebony fretboard.

And here I was banking on you being right! Doh! I only looked up the Dave!

Thanks for the replies. PRS site says both have maple necks.
I'm leaning toward the Navarro as i can get it for about £100 less than the Cu24; i'm not usually into quilt top finishes, but i do really like the Trampas Green. In the UK the Cu24 is also harder to find in this finish, would be easier if i went with the floyd version but i'm not a fan of FR trems. I'm really torn between which finish i prefer. I hear what you're saying about resale being better with the Cu24. I just need to decide if the Cu24 is worth the extra cash to me.

Don't buy because of resale though, buy the one that you will like best.
I don't. I never intend to sell any guitar i buy. If i don't think it will be a keeper i pass.
I came across a used S2 Cu24 today that is very nice. It costs a little more than the new 30th SE, just working out if i can afford the extra cash.

^^^ this.

Buying a guitar while simultaneously worrying what it's resale value is means you're looking at the wrong guitar.
To be fair, I bought that up, not the OP. Was just trying to cover any potential pro/con. Say someone likes both those guitars 100% equal, it might be a consideration if they were to upgrade later. I'm not even sure there is a value difference, but likely easier to sell a non sig guitar.
