Will any 3 way blade switch fit in an S2 standard 24? It looks like there are a lot of suitable options considerably less than the PRS switch. Does anyone have a recommendation?

I bought this guitar with the intent to mod and personalize it and my volume pot seems extra finicky and sometimes I had to wiggle it to get it to work fully. I could get it replaced under warranty but what the hell, I wanted to upgrade the electronics and even though I don't mind the pickups, I think I'd like to try something else so might be a good time as any to get in there and do the upgrades and mods.

Yes, but I'd personally go 5 way or there's even a 10 way by freeway to look into. I've only used the freeway on a HSH strat and not sure what wiring madness could happen for two humbuckers. But I have a 5 way on my core Cu24 and wouldn't be near as happy with a 3 way.

I'd recommend the core volume pot. It's my favorite taper. But I'd also do the core 5 way. But get looking for cheaper alternatives. I do really like the core switch tip. Shouldn't be a reason to use it but it has been for me in thr past.

Since the guitar came stock with 3 way, I was just going to stick with that. I don't mind the split functions with the tone knob but I generally just use either neck or bridge and if I'm playing cleans I'll use the middle and take a little volume off.

I went with Bourns for the tone and volume.

Thanks Tony M for the recommendation on the 3 way, I went with that one...although from a Canadian site.
