I'm sure many of you have driven a "3 on the tree" transmission back in the day, as have I. BUT how about playing "3-On-An-SE-Tree" at one of your gigs? This was the situation week before last at Wild Boar Tavern, a really cool venue that's only 3 minutes from my house. (Oh how I enjoy getting home in 3 minutes!). Anyway, check the SAS SE, DGT SE, and Bernie SE, all being guarded by my trusty friend, RoadHawg Ron:

ps-They all performed flawlessly

I'm a big fan of those Bernie's
I love mine

I am curious
are those the original pickups?
The Zebras are oriented the complete opposite of mine and any others I have seen

They are Suhr Doug Aldrich pickups. LOVE the way they sound. The switch went bad in this guitar, so we replaced it, pots, and wiring with "the good stuff." Changed the tuners to locking, just because I like the ease of changing strings with them. I got the guitar, which seemed unplayed, for $400 all in with original bag. I've got $700 in a guitar that easily has me in LP territory, and I mean great sounding/playing LP territory!

Congrats on the "3 on the tree" SEs!! Sounds like a great outing. As well as great guitars.

Did the upgraded electronics, apart from the pickup change, make a difference in the tone? I'm considering doing that for my two SE245s (the Bernie base model) as I've already swapped the pups for Wolfetones in the regular and vintage Gibson P-90 in the soapbar, especially since I found out that CTS now makes metric pots which don't require reaming the pot holes.

If they made a difference in tone, it's not a lot. I did it mainly for durability. We play a lot of marinas in the summer, hot and humid, the cases getting tossed about, etc.

I love the Aldrich pickups. I put a set in my KL-33 and OG Mira. Sadly, both guitars have moved on.
