2channel custom 50 amp - Impedance Setting

I got my brand new 2 channel custom 50 combo from a dealer. Got it home and plugged it in. Sounds Awesome!
Noticed after an hour that the sticker on the back said the speaker impedance is 16 ohms, the amp came from the dealer set at 8 ohms.
I am assuming I need to change that switch to 16, but do you think I may have damaged anything?

First, I doubt you damaged anything. I forgot to change the impedance switch a couple of times on my amp without harm. I've been playing the same 5150 head since 1994.

If you have one 16 ohm speaker then yes switch to 16 if you have two 16 ohmspeakers then they most certainly will be 8 ohm.
