PRS IG video says mini switches developed by PRS and John McLaughlin in ‘23??

Um, the Signature Limited had them, later the 35th Anniversary 24 had them in ‘20.

I don’t understand why they’d say developed in ‘23?

Because they changed them from coil tap/split to high pass eq switches. That was first done on the McLaughlin PS in 2023.

Did anybody catch that in 2025 PRS updated the TCI pickup wirings for the S2 24-08, core 24-08, and modern eagle? Previously the mini toggles split the coils up until 2024. In 2024 the toggles tapped the pickups. And now in 2025 they are high pass EQ.

They advertise in the new video that the high pass filter should eliminate hum in single coil mode. I would be very curious to try. My 2024 s2 2024 sounds amazing. I actually preferred how it felt in full humbucker mode compared to a 2019 Paul’s guitar. But that’s 2019 Paul’s guitar single coil mode sounded more...
