20th anniversary Custom 24 with nitro finish?

That’s not a Custom, but a Standard. Doesn’t matter as they are phenomenal guitars. Here’s mine and she’s truly something special.

THANKS! That explains the differences I'm seeing between this and my other 20th!
Am I correct in thinking the pups are hfs/vb?

I don't know why but the P.O. did some major rewiring inside and the center switch position sounds like single coils.

I got mine used without a hangtag, but would bet 50 bucks that HFS/VB pickups are in there. Of all my guitars this is the bridge pickup that hits my amps the hardest - just sounds like 80s metal to me.

20th satin standards were bad ass! Thin satin nitro that you could feel the wood grain. Believe those bled into the following year too minus the 20th birds. Standard satin singlecut as well. All of them that I played were very resonant with sustain for days.

I hear you about hard hitting! Love the growl in the bottom end. I'll find out what pups are in it soon. Took it in to get the wiring back to standard. Someone had rewired the center switch position with the pups out of phase or something so it sounded like a blend of single coil and crap.
