Technically it shipped in on the 31st but didn't get to play it till after midnight
Modern Eagle V
Took a chance on this guitar because I have not found a Pauls guitar I liked the sound of but for some reason the trem and single coil in the middle spoke to me , the demos seemed promising so shopping I went and this came home.

MEV 2 by
After a quick play and some minor adjustments , there is lots going on with this guitar.
First thing that's interesting is these narrow 408s have a volume drop when tapped unlike my 408
Second the Bridge pickup is better that my Brushstroke 24 that had the narrow 408 in it and very close to output to the wide 408 in my 408 which is a good thing , and the pickups in the MEV have a nice harmonic ( if that makes sense ) with gain.
Another thing that i just found out is you can have Neck and Bridge at the same time like the Fiore ( or all three pickups )
Presently surprised that the bone nut is perfect and has zero tuning issue even with heavy trem use.
New tuner buttons look fine and feel fine but if I find a set to chrome buttons I still might change them, love that the open gear tuners are on this guitar also.
Happy New Year Everyone !!!!!!
