2025 satin models

PRS seems to be expanding the use of satin finishes across the lineup, which is awesome to see. There's now a Fioré Satin, the NF53 is now available in a couple of satin finishes, and new metallic satin finishes in the S2 lineup.

I love that they're doing metallic satin open-pore finishes. It's such a cool look.

The Mavis Mint Metallic finish on the Vela Satin is the best of the bunch IMHO but they all look great.

I’m disappointed that the Core Standard 24 Satin isn’t available in Midnight Metallic. It looks incredible on the S2 Standard 24 Satin.

Judging from pictures, I'm not a fan .... but I'm sure it's a cost cutting option ...
I can imagine they wear faster ?
I still prefer the high gloss bursts.

For gigging they are WAY more practical, I'e been trying to get clients to go with low gloss Finishes for years , they don't show all the smudges under stage lights. Less finish ..more tone..

I have 2 satin S2s...best guitars ever...

My Vela Satin is probably one of my favourite guitars currently in my rack. I've been a big fan of satin and oiled finishes for over 30 years.

The Mavis mint is cool in person. As is the midnight metallic. I’m all for the new vela finishes. I wish we had an ETA on these.

Hmm. I might do that frost blue metallic satin nf53 since it seems they took that weird semi gloss off the neck.

Edit- actually, the gold and platinum mk53 are even more appealing.

Chances are I lose interest before they show up at Dave’s. We’ll see. I need to trade some stuff in since I have too much stuff sitting around doing nothing.

I have a 2025 Satin Vela S2 on order. Hoping to get it by mid April.

satin is great. big fan. Some of the high gloss models need to be high gloss...but some of those slab body ones just look so GOOD satin. Fiore specifically. Mines turning satin after a few years of just show gunk all over it no matter how much i wipe it down.
