Who’s excited? Kind of random to change the CE neck to pattern regular neck. 58/15 on CEs have been done in limited quantities, usually as a dealer run. I will say I thought they sounded better on set necks.

Kinda surprised to see it’s returned, especially with the number of 22 frets guitars currently being offered by PRS. The change of birds is cool. But otherwise…meh? I would have been more excited to see an all maple neck/fret or ebony versions to spice things up some more!

I was excited before I read the neck profile is Pattern Regular. I prefer Pattern. I have two with Pattern Regular (Mira Maple Top and S2 Starla) and I like them, but I am always wishing they were Pattern. I know a lot of people like different things than I do, so hopefully someone out there is stoked to see this announcement.

Safe again.
At least this was kinda close.
No Stoptail, No WF, No me.😐
This. I want would love a stop tail version of a 25” guitar that’s double cut. With regular pickups that’s not designed for vintage tones (like McCarty). And not held to SE standards (like holcombs). Dusties were close but I wasn’t a fan of 5 way blade for them. Maybe if the core standard does well they can offer a core standard stop tail!

Its nothing I need or want. But it has been nice seeing all these throwbacks models coming out this year. The 40th anniversary CU24, the Mahogany standard 24 satins, now this. As an old school PRS guy I do like to see these.

Oh man almost there, but just trem version. It’s heartbreaking.

Oh, that is a cool guitar. Not on my need list, but an old school style ce22 with real core specs and looks is very nice!

Nothing here that peaks my interest. As a couple of others have said, if it had a stoptail, pattern neck carve (I also dig pattern thin) and maybe something a bit more unique, like maybe a different fretboard wood, I would consider it.

Anyway....lots of guitars for everyone and we all like different things, so I am sure for some folks this is exactly what they are looking for! :)

I am sure they will sell the thousand. Then next year it will probably become a regular production model and someone will be on here complaining that theirs isn’t special anymore.

Sounds like with my Special 22 Semi Hollow!!! Lol

Although my pre-order one was an Artist Package. Hehehe

The pics I saw didn’t look like it was core specs, it looked like it had the same shallow violin carve with no recessed knobs as the CE-24. Am I mistaken? That would be great to see if it was built like the old ones were. I always thought the old CE-22’s were some of the best guitars PRS ever built. I agree it needs the pattern neck and a stoptail though.

At least it’s not a thin neck carve. So maybe PRS is listening at least a little bit. There’s very few things PRS could make that would actually get me excited anymore. I’m kind of set as far as PRS go.

Yeah, looks like (now) typical “Bolt On” specs.

I dunno… for the people wishing it was a stoptail, the SE/S2/Bolt trem is practically a fixed bridge, you don’t really wanna wiggle that thing too much IME/IMO/YMMV.
