2024 PRS S2 Lineup?

Hey, you have to do what's right for you. Strange about the sticky, though. I loved the silky feel of the satin on my Carvin and wondered if I'd like the feel on my Thinline. But, no concerns at all after playing it.

Couple members here (nearly 3 yrs ago, so can't remember who) mentioned that the nitro being used now isn't sticky when playing. Some here have used various pads to scuff up the neck.

Everyone's different and the guitar that's right for me may be very wrong for you. You gotta do you :)

I got a 2024 594 singlecut.
Amazing with the American electronics. Feels and plays and sounds like cores.

Price hikes to 2599.00 is crazy, but I got 25% off at wolf guitars in Texas. I’m in colorado, but they did right by me.

They have custom finishes as well.
Got mine in purple quilt

I decided against it. I saw a black one at a store in Columbia, MO and the sticky neck was too much for me. I am passing, sigh. I will stay with my CE 24 with the satin neck.
The answer for a sticky neck is always Meguiar’s cleaner/car wax. About 4 applications and reapply when you change strings. I played outdoors in 96 degree heat and high humidity 2 weeks ago. The neck never got sticky. The clothes were another thing entirely.

A slight scuffing of the back of the neck with steel wool or fine sandpaper will get all the 'sticky' off of it and you're basically making a satin neck. If you decide to sell or trade the guitar later, it can be buffed back to a high gloss.

It’s so easy to satinize the back of any neck with a Green Scotchbrite pad. 5 to 8 swipes and you’re done! Forget steel wool. The filings will cling to the pickups……
