I’m sure many of you were eagerly anticipating this week’s update to the PRS lineup as I was. Here’s their summary for anyone who missed it:

When they talk about the 24-08 switching system they talk about 'true single coil'. So the regular push-pull knob system doesn't make the pickups true single coil? Confusing...

I was thinking I might have to snag the S2 CU24 in Bonni Pink Burst, until I saw that the 24 fret S2s now all have Pattern Thin necks. Saves me some cash.

I, too, was sadly disappointed. If I wanted a 24 fret guitar with Asian parts and a Pattern Thin neck then I’d buy an SE. I don’t get it.

No doubt they have some plans as its still early in the year...

I'm excited to try an S2 with the pattern thin. It's my favorite offering now.
Of course I would prefer the wide thin like my 88 CE24, but obviously that's not an option.....
I have played and repaired many if these and the standard neck carve kept me from getting one sooner.
