This!I thought there was a dealer option to order the Phase III locking tuners rather than the standard-issue vintage/kluson style
There was a transition period. 2021 are now vintage tuners but some early ones came with phase III
I'd hate to be the guy on the cusp of that transition with three or four locking tuners and two or three vintage.

My S2 McCarty Thinline (a super sweetie), came with the Vintage Style Non- Lockers... but these were 3 curious things about them
They come with beautiful brass shafts to lock the string around.
From the Factory, they came strung with a MINIMUN number of winds on the posts (like they were lockers )
