2019 SE245 Standard - Adjustable Bridge

Personally I find it nominally different. I don’t find the adjustable bridges all that necessary in my life, although I do have and has guitars with them.

Both designs are nice.

It makes a difference if you want to use 10 - 52s, a lot of people like a heavier gauge on a short scale.

I have one on my Zach Myers. A lot of people seem to swap them out for the Wilkinson solid aluminium wraparound one that has the compensated G and B. Apparently it sounds better, I haven't tried it myself.

I have the adjustable one on my ZM and think it is a improvement over the non-adjustable type previously used on the 245. My son has 2 - 245's and a custom 22 semi-hollow with the non-adjustable bridges, and they are okay, but I would upgrade to this type if they were mine. Those Wilkinson's come on the Harley Benton cst-24 guitars.

I never had an intonation issue with the one piece, but all my guitars with a stoptail have either come with an adjustable, or migrated over to having one. I haven’t found there to be negative effect on tone, I mean, we slap a fulcrumed bridge attached to a bunch of springs to our guitars, if you wanna talk about weird.

You can only use the Prs stoptail with a regular set though. What I mean is that it won’t intonate properly past 11s

The 245 scale and the 11-52 set is amazing. It’s just tighter on the lows and just feels great. (Coming from the Fender camp it’s more like home)

This is an upgraded feature, for sure.
