Hi all, I'm new to the PRS forum. I own a CE 24 and an old PRS SE Tremonti from 2002 (with the hardtail bridge). I am thinking of selling my old SE and buying a new one. I have played the SE Tremonti Custom in stores and really like it with the tremolo and new look, but am also considering the cheaper SE Tremonti Standard. Is there a difference besides the color? It looks like the Custom has a black nut while the Standard has a white one, but other than that I can't really tell. Is splurging for the Custom worth it? Either way I'm sure they are both fine instruments, as I have yet to be disappointed by the new line of SE's.

The Custom has a maple top and maple veneer, while the Standard is all mahogany.
The Custom does not have binding, while the Standard does.
The Standard is closer to your original one, but with thinner neck plus the trem.
Keep your old one because they rock.
Buy a new one because it will also rock.
That's it.
