Just acquired a 2017 PRS CE24 Gloss Red guitar in swamp ash.
I tried to find some info on it and after scrolling I have found nothing.
Was this a limited run?
The swing card just says CE24
It has the 2 x HH USA 85/15 pickups.
it did ship in PRS gig bag.
I looked at there 2016 and 2017 catalogue but no mention of the swamp ash model.

Its definitely not a S2 model it has a slight carved top not totally flat, It is not mentioned as a Core product.
Just wondering if anyone has any more on this?
Like could it have been a limited run model? etc

Some dealers do special runs. For example, there’s a gold satin CE24 that was never on the PRS site.

Gold satin CE24 - gees thats a nice colour. I feel like anything in nice sparkle or metal flak gold is just - I NEED THIS.

I have that model. Is it a red sunburst with a thin body, and it doesn’t have a cap. I bought mine in Adelaide from Derringers. I upgraded it with a MannMade tremolo and Seymour Duncans PAF-style pickups. If you ever upgrade the tremolo, the trem cavity was too narrow for the Gen II and MannMade tremolos block, and the block stuck and stopped it from moving correctly. I sanded the wall a bit and the block fitted and it worked fine. The MannMade fattened my sound quite a bit.

Thanks MaxPow for responding. I dont find it too thin. I think my 1994 CE22 is a bit thinner then this 2017.
I actually was quite impressed with the 85/15 pickups in it. So no need for me to change those out. The tremolo seems to be doing its job fine so thats staying as well. Glad to hear your are liking yours and the beauty of modding it to how we like it is pretty special too.

Cheers. I was looking for a used Custom 24 when I found this CE24 near me. It was 5 or 6 years old and the guy had only played it a few time then put it under the bed, so it was like new. The neck is superb. The tremolo block was a bit thin for me. I should have just bought an FU Tone brass block rather than buy a MannMade. I'd have saved $150-$200. The big brass block fattened my CE24's sound a lot, but I think any full-sized brass block would have done the same.
