I've been waiting for someone to post this :p

Death of the 513!

There have been some 24-08's around… I wonder if the current trem can be replaced with the Gen III.

Yeah, the NEW line-up. Actually something really new is not depicted.
I´m locking forward for something being unveiled which is not rehashed.

That the 513 is given up for a guitar that is - from my perspective - a Les Paul (material-composition mahogany body w/ maple top, mahogany neck) variation of the Brent Mason (Of course other pickups at treble and bass.), is fact.
Maybe customers´ requirement is only to have singlecoil or humbucker, then this development is logical.

P245 (Solid and SH) are gone.

EDIT:

(I had written the P24 is gone, but I see that it is now renamed the Custom 24 Piezo, along with the CU22 Piezo).

SC Hollowbody II gone.

As noted, so is the 513. I don't understand that - the 509 is "most" of a 513. Why not keep the 513? i really don't see the point.

HBII with 58/15 LT pickups and no piezo makes me happy, although it seems weird to still put 11's with wound G on it (hope that's a site error).

Yuck for me, but I bet a lot of folks will see this as a value-add: "10-Top and Back Maple (Defaults to Hybrid Hardware)"

I think the 509 is pretty fantastic. Glad to see it carried on from the GotM. If you could only have one electric guitar, that one should do the trick! That control layout would be much more functional for me than the 513.
