Hi all,

I'm new on the forum and maybe I'll have soon my first PRS :)

For a little time I'm thinking about buying a new guitar. I'm mostly using my LP R8 with my band, but due to a new project I'm looking for a guitar that is more polyvalent and more comfortable to play than the Les Paul.

I'm interested in the CE24 that seems to be a really good guitar, but unfortunately I haven't found a lot of review of it.

What do you think of that guitar ?

None of the music stores nearby have a CE24 so in a few day I'll go to a store to try a custom 24. I know that there are a lot of differences between the CE24 and the Custom 24 but do you think it could help me to have an idea of how the CE will feel and sound ?

Thank you for your answers :D

Hi Vakarian. Welcome to the Forum, and pre-congrats on your soon to be first PRS!

There's a lot of good info in this thread. Check it out.

I'm getting one, definitely. I'm trying to hold out for a non-blue satin, though, myself.

I have one.
I love it.
I actually like it a bit better than my CU 24.
Do you have and specific questions?

I bought a 2016 CE24 a couple of weeks ago, and am blown away... I have 20+ guitars and this one has definitely found a place especially for gigging. I can bring this guitar and cover a lots of ground with it. Stays in tune, plays great, I re-strung it with .10-.46 set of NYXL's adjusted them for slightly more tension and boom.... Pickups are great, ergonomics are amazing, sounds just beautiful... I'm in love! Thinking about adding some more Prs to the collection.

I absolutely love the CE24s. The maple neck and bolt-on joints give the guitar more attack and brightness than your usual Custom 24. Honestly, I think they are one of the most underrated guitars PRS makes...
