2013 PRS SC 245 vs 2009 Santana MD... PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!!!

I love the short scale that both of these models offer (24.5 for each)
I love the slightly flatter radius of the Sanatana (11.5 vs 10)
I prefer the body shape of the SC
I prefer the finish of the SC (boyd burst front and back is o so tasty)
However the Santana has a ten top, and that unqiue green/teal/black color
One neck is a Pattern (SC) and the other a wide fat (Santana)... so close to identical there
I can get the Santana for about $150 more, so not much of a difference there either
Trem or no trem doesn't make a difference to me either
So 57/08's vs MD electronics I guess...

Please let me know your experience with either of these guitars
Which would you buy and why?

i vote SC 245... feels and sounds better (to me) and not a fan of the MD electronics (kind of sterile sounding)

A friend of mine has a Santana MD and i think it is fantastic. I love SC 245's too, but I think I would go with the Santana.

I love the current SC245s. They are easily the best singlecuts PRS have ever made IMO. That's what I'd do.

The "MD" designation in the model stands for "Multi-Dimensional," and is a reference to the fact that the Santana MD can achieve a variety of tones. This quality makes it an ideal instrument for guitarists who want to produce a number of different sounds from the same guitar.

A large part of this "multi-dimensionality" resides in the electronic circuit. Besides the standard Santana Guitar Volume and Tone knobs, and 3-way pickup selector switch, it includes a mini-toggle that delivers a Strat-like '60s tone -- possibly by putting one or both of the pickups out of phase. The new function is called a "Mastering Voice Control."



I believe this Guitar requires 2 Batteries for the active electronics.

I'm a die hard singlecut fan and before the Santana I'd never even look twice at a double cut, but there is something about the Santana that draws me to it! I love the shorter scales of both guitars. I vote the Santana!

yup it's a matter of which one you are going to get first.
I would get the SC245 first, very sweet guitar.
