Congrats! Those are pretty cool guitars for sure. The 5707’s and the thin nitro are what make it cool and a little different from the average McCarty. There was one at a local shop for awhile that I played several times. It feels like an old guitar and tone wise has a lot of those older guitar characteristics. I think you’ll dig it.
I must be a nut case too because I also believe that 'everything' inc the finish (even its thickness) has some impact on the tone. I know I am NOT the only one as mr Paul Reed Smith is a believer too...
