2008 McCarty serial n°

Hi,
I just saw a used McCarty for a good price in good condition. In the seller pictures the serial number start with a "8" and not "08". It's a Mccarty Korina so I think it is not a 1998. I suppose the "8" serial was on some guitars before PRS start with the 08 but I did not find any information about that on the official website. Can anyone confirm this? Or maybe it's a copy? (it seems to be a real one, and I don't think there is Korina copies...)

Yup.....it's a 2008. I have a 98.....serial starts with 8 and has 5 following digits. Your's has 6.
