Just a little curious if anyone can give some insight on a guitar I got my hands on.

I got my hands on a McCarty Korina sunburst finish with gold hardware; birds and a Brazilian fretboard.

It has Paul's signature and is numbered out of 500 on the back plate.

I really haven't found any others online that are numbered or signed like mine. Just wondering if that part is legit or something someone added to the guitar.

I think I remember a limited edition run of Korina McCartys. Let's see if others remember them too.

Here's one...

and here's some detail on the limited edition.

Were all 500 hundred of that run actually finished? Pretty sure that run got caught-up in the CITES drama and stopped for a while. A few of them had P90's. Curious if any made it out of the factory with a trim.

I've seen many from that run out none of them are signed or numbered (other that the serial number).

I also have a Korina McCarty with a Brazilian fretboard.

Mine was built in 2007 but sold brand new in 2013. She is not numbered, but Paul actually signed her twice. You can still see the ghost of the original signature.

The korina neck has some flame to it.

I love that dark burst.

Your PRS signature is starting to wear off. Perhaps that’s what happened to mine?

I ordered a Brazilian rosewood trussrod cover and switch tip for mine from Guifford’s Guitar.
