Hi

I stumbled across a 2004 McCarty with solid rosewood neck on CL with an asking price of $2600. Just wondering if the price tag is in the ballpark.

Thoughts?

I think it's a reasonable price in today's market. These can be really special guitars.

Thanks all - appreciate you commenting and confirming what I suspected.

Cheers!

That's an excellent price for a McRosie. My non-10 2015 McC standard neck was purchased used for $2400 plus tax/shipping, and I thought $2400 was a good price.

Did you get it? I really think the original McCarty model is a modern classic. The rosewood neck is like a cherry on top.

I'm not currently in the market but I would be all over that.

I stumbled on the same guitar and even though not local I'm still interested. If it was local these posts would be in my NGD thread instead of this one.

Ended up going a slightly different route and picked up a 2017/18 limited edition 594 ten top soapbar. The price wasn't that much more than the McRosie and it was case queen with the original paperwork and tags. If only I had the budget for both!

Anyway, the seller of the McRosie lives in Long Island and the ad should still be up on craigslist if anyone is interested. Sounds like he's only interested in local buyers and isn't willing to ship, but you never know...

Good luck, and thanks again for all of the comments.
