    So it may be a "compression screw" but it's a homemade job. It didn't come stock that way. It looks like an attempt to fix the slight tilt that is often present with stoptails. A good Tone Pros would do the job correctly.

    I would tell him I have to replace the bridge screws and tail piece with a Tone Pros and deduct the cost from the price of the guitar.
