2000 Archtop II Piezo Issues

I have a 2000 Archtop II and the Piezo knob when blending turns distorted and has intermittence issues, also creates a phasing effect. The battery is new. Thoughts? Guidance?

Seems to me someone posted something about piezo issues on their HB in the last few weeks. I remember a couple of people said they had a problem with the harness connected to the battery, I think. I'll see if I can find it.
