1997 PRSMcCarty (McCartyburst) time capsule!!!

That thing is in great shape. Congrats and welcome to the McCarty club.

I got mine from my wife as a gift so that makes me a lifetime member. I'm ok with that!
 
Time capsules are placed in the cornerstone of the foundation of old buildings and they get moisture and mold all over them. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess this one had better treatment. ;)

About 15 years ago I sold my mint condition 1997 McCarty. It popped up on eBay a few years later and sadly the finish was chipped around the edges and it buckle rash on the back, otherwise I would have bought it back. Here are a couple of photos that posted when I was selling the guitar:

A few months ago, I went on the hunt for another 1990's McCarty and ended up buying this 1998 model that looks like a twin to my old '97. Other than tarnished nickel, it looks nearly new. I could polish the nickel, but I actually like the look, so I'll leave it as is. I love the wide-fat neck on these guitars.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a '97 McCarty in Amber and an '04 in Violin Amber Sunburst.

Beautiful pictures. McCarty burst with birds is tough to beat in my book. Possibly by favorite PRS model.
