Hi, just got my first PRS! From what I can understand a 1994 CE24 (serial 479899).
When taking out the pickups I found some notes which I could not directly make into a MODCAT type decodable string, what I have is:

Neck cavity: BD, 81694, WT
Bridge cavity: WT.RF, 79899, KOA, DS

The numbers are serial numbers.?..
Was not able to attach pictures right now..

Pretty sure, but not positive...WT=Wide Thin neck, 4-79899=year of production and serial, RF=rosewood fret-board, Koa= Whoa!!!...Koa top????

Yup, I failed to upload a picture, but my avatar gives you a hint. Do I have to externally refer to pictures? Or do I just have to post a few more posts and behave before the advanced menu appears?... :)

Your decoding makes perfect sense.

DS is written in one of the circular CNC holes where the pickup screws reside.
Any guesses? ..

Do idea on DS.

As for posting pics, they need to come from a hosting site like Photobucket, or Flickr, etc. You can copy/paste from there.

Welcome aboard, BTW.

What about them apples?.. :)

That is SOFA KING COOL! Definitely a three-piece alder back on her. I am not a wood expert, so that could indeed be Koa. DAMN, nice score!

I can't see the photos - I think to see them you have to be signed into a Google User account, and since I'm at work right now, that is not the case.

Also doesn't seem to work on my phone, where I am logged into Google. Weird.

EDIT: if I force the images from your first post to open in a new tab just by itself, it seems to work better. The second post with images still asks me to sign into Google if I force the images to a new tab. More weird. But nice looking axe!

Photobucket seems to work more universally, but that site is increasingly annoying for account holders due to stupid pop-up ads and other non-value-added content.

(When will folks understand that if your ad appears in a pop-up I will automatically avoid your product more often?)
