Hi,

Just curious if a 1989, 10 top, birds custom 24, quilted maple, sunburst is a rare guitar. I have one that has not seen a lot of action in about 10 years. I'm trying to figure out if the earlier years are more desirable to PRS folks or not. Excellent ++ condition.

Thanks,

I don't know if it will be considered "rare" but it does make it into the "vintage" category. You can look on fleaBay and see what "vintage" PRSi are selling for in the sold section. The price does come down the farther you get from 85, but to collectors there may be some increased desirability, especially if it still has the sweet switch and vintage pups.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes, it has the original pick ups and sweet switch. Definitely the most "consistent" electric guitar I've owned, I've just been playing acoustic for the last 10 years and am not sure what I should do with the PRS. Stunning guitar, I think the top is quilted flame sunburst.
