1988 Studio (Fixer) - worth buying?

On Reverb.com there is a Blue Foil 1988 Studio, it is incomplete missing just about everything other than the humbucker. Its been heavily played and is worn. At $2900 is this just a money-losing headache or a good candidate for a fixer?

I wouldn't. Even fully loaded that would be a fairly high price. That is Cu24 territory.

Is that a chip out in the top?

I feel it's worth buying, just maybe not at that price. Studio's generally haven't appreciated quite like the Custom's have but, the multi foils may hove some present and future collectability... However that one is missing a bit of it.
