1985 Paul Reed Smith Interview

You know what is great about this interview? No B.S. , No salespitch, Just hardwork, dedication to his craft and the desire to make the best electric guitar possible and fulfill his American dream. He did it. God bless Him. He is a true role model of pursuing the American dream. Not to mention, the finest luthier of our time.

Great find. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't it cool to see that Paul has always been...Paul.

Amazing…he said basically the same things when I saw him at Brian's Anniv party a couple months ago…hasn't changed his goals at all

"If you print that, I'll kill you!" Yup. I could hear the Paul of today saying those very words. I was also really struck by how he thought he could improve the quality in his new factory -- one of the things that impresses me most about PRS is that the guitars have gotten better-made over the years!

Anyone else notice the unplugged sound of that 26 fret custom?

Didn't notice that until you posted. That might explain why it got that Stratty quack tone better than any CU24 I've heard. How maybe 26 fretters ever got made?
