This is crazy. Wonder how this mod would sound with the Sliver Sky?
I’m confused by a three-way!
It’s easy - you just spread the disappointment amongst two women.
An HSS Strat of mine has 20 different combinations. An S1 switch, a push-pull and the bottom tone is actually a switch. I've had it for more than a decade, and I'm still confused about what does what. Some great sounds in there, but hard to get to on the fly
Was thinking about my SS when I watched the vid as well.
If those gazillion-way switches were all that, they would've taken over and become standard by now.
All my experiences with alternate switching have led me to the conclusion that the really good sounds are taken care of if you you have the 3- and 5-way switching we all know, and you can get the neck pickup to do a single-coil sound if you want it. Done.
Would be interesting to see how it would work with the Special 22 Semi-Hollow. Maybe a way to get an option for just the middle NF pickup?
I can do that without even trying!
I have a 6 way ( freeway ) switch on my SCT so I don't have a push pull pot , I like it a bunch. I like any mod that is hidden and can add features hat one might like.
I was afraid it'd be 10 positions in one direction, this seems like it could actually be useful, although am a bit concerned about durability, or what it would do to a wood mounted top.
Seems like it might be fun for a studio guitar.
Middle-only option is a pretty easy one with a push/pull switch.
are you two working together? #vaudevillian-fatality
Absolutely not - that would be a devil’s threesome.
Plus it would put twice the disappointment on one woman.
We’re here all week folks!
Thanks for the warning!
