Just offered for a 08 Mira with Shadow Birds, exposed pickups, 24.5” Scale and 24 Frets in excellent condition. It’s shipping from the EU to the US all in was about $2200 pre-tax. The thread won’t let me post a photo.

I haven’t seen any of these around anywhere and had to have it. I felt the price was right, do you?

Also - do you think pick up covers would look okay or mess with the sound rather than swapping them out completely?

When you have posted a few times, you will be able to post photos.

I put covered pickups in a MIra and they look great, but the sound wasn't as SG raw sounding as the uncovered versions, so I put the originals back. But a lot of that will depend on which pickups they dropped in there. Try it first and then decide.

Welcome and congratulations!

I would be interested to see that. I was under the impression the 25th Anniversary Mira & Mira X were the only one with 24.5” scale. Both of which have 22 frets.

Mira’s really come to life with some PAF style pickups. I didn’t care for the stock Mira pickups personally.

I’m also weary of posting because I don’t want someone else to try to outbid me :|

Are we a respectful bunch of nitwits?

I would have to see this"Mira" , The only one close to what you are describing is a KL-33, 24.5 " scale , 24 frets uncovered Mira pickups and 2K and up is what they seem to be going for.
A regular core Mira is not a $2200 guitar IMHO

I’ve got an ‘08 Mira with the birds, flame maple top, standard uncovered pickups, 24 fret neck. I haven’t measured the scale. Killer guitar, the pickups sound perfect for the mission, very playable and super light. As I’ve said before, the core Mira is the PRS SG; a workhorse rock and roll machine.

I only recently became acquainted with how high prices can be overseas for some American products, so I can’t say what sort of deal that might be, beyond to say that if it is worth it to you, it’s worth it. Mine was considerably cheaper in the US, but that’s useless for comparison. As @RC Mike noted, due to the price differential between the US and abroad, it’s unlikely you’ll be bidding against forum folk in the States. Those rascals across the pond… well.

Kidding of course. Everyone here is more encouraging others to buy guitars than to jump their place in line. You’re safe.

OP is not in Europe. He’s put in an offer on a guitar that is in Europe, with the intent of having it shipped back to the US.

Ohhhhhh. I missed that point in the original. I guess a guitar is worth what the buyer will pay, but as much as I love the one I have, that’s not a purchase I’d make in the US.

Thanks for pointing that out.

That’s it! I worked out a deal with the seller, but could you help me by looking at image 10 or 11 to check that one fret? It looks like the fret was soldered or split. Saw it in the photos, but it wasn’t in the description. Needed another set of eyes. I asked the seller about it - awaiting a reply.

Thanks again.

That 22nd fret does look a little funky, doesn’t it?

I wouldn’t buy it. A Core Mira is a $900-$1,200 guitar. They show up frequently.

I do believe European prices are that much higher. That looks to be a very fine example with the usual USA 25” scale. I’d buy it if I wanted a Mira.

Unfortunately so, we pay in £ what you fine ladies in gents pay in $.

A new core PRS will cost you approximately $6500 of your fine US dollars in the UK 😮
