“Solitaire” Instrumental Fusion

“Solitaire” is a piece that’s been through a lot of changes. It started as a simple piano melody with a few chords. I added more sections and recorded the piano, drums, and NS Chapman. I tried out different virtual instruments for the melodies and solos, and I ended up with a virtual saxophone played on the LinnStrument, a Dragonfly DF10A Nylon String Acoustic Tapping guitar, a PRS Vela S2 electric guitar, and the Railboard Chapman Stick. The piece starts and ends with a spacey pad sound from the LinnStrument and Rhizomatic’s Plasmonic MPE Synthesizer. My favorite feedback is that the song sounded like a 70’s cop show theme. I take that as a compliment - they knew how to write theme songs in the 70’s (the best being Barney Miller of course).
